Jai Shree Krishna,
There was a prsang in which Mahaprabhuji took vishram on Damodardas harshaniji’s lap. This incident took place at the Girarajji ki tadati (bottom). During the time of vishram, Shriji came to see Mahaprabhuji. Damodardasji followd his sevak dharma, and told Shriji to wait till Mahaprabhuji awakes. Shriji waited for Mahaprabhuji to wakeup.
When Mahaprabhuji wakeup and saw Sriji was waiting for him. He Cursed Damodardas Harshaniji saying “you made Sriji (the most beloved one) to wait and gave him parishram, so you (Damodardas Harshaniji) will have a delay of 10 Janams (births) in attaining bhavad prapti”.
Why did, Mahaprabhuji gave such a curse?

It was actually not a curse coz Shri Mahaprabhuji knew tht Shri Damodarsaji has all the facts n rules of Pushtimarg by heart n hence is important element / part in the establishment of this marg in the daivi jeevs who have scattered all the way....
Hence Shri Mahaprabhuji blessed Shri Damodardasji to take more 10 births on earth to establish Pushtimarg n be with Shri Mahaprabhuji everytime (coz Shri mahaprabhuji is on earth in form of Shri Vallabhkul). So that all was the part of leela to have Shri Damodardasji on earth again for Vaishnavs..

pushtimarg is made for the daivi jeev that is naad shurshti . there for shree mahaprabhuji tought all the things of pushtimarg to damodar das harsaniji. and to spread it for vaishnavs this curse was given
it is just like the play ..
