Jai Shree Krishna Top of my head,it is said that Symbolism of the number 56 relates to maternal love, for devotees say that, like Mother Yashoda, they show their untiring love by providing Krishna with round the clock nourishment: Eight times a day Seven days a week = 56 In another interpretation 56 symbolizes all food in the cosmos by the four basic substences - beverages, foods that do not require chewing, foods that are chewed, and foods that are licked. Other iteresting article also suggests that important Food events are eulogised in Pushtimarg Poetry and hagiographic literature. Best known of these historic feasts are the Chappan Bhog given in 1558 at Jatipura and in 1582 at Gokul, occassions when all Nine Nidhi Swarrops were present. The years mentioned here in could be English calender dates? The KUNWARA is a feast to celebrate Shree Krishna's engangement to His Chief Swaminiji, whereas "CHAPPAN BHOGH" is a feast to celebrate the pair's wedding. That is how it is recorded in the studies in sociology and social anthropology, perhaps PRO could check in the Granths, if there is a different version spritually.

To be in detail, Chappanbhog has got 3 swaroops 1. Adhibhautik 2. Adhidaivik 3. Adhyatmik 1. Adhibhautik swaroop: Chappanbhog is originally related to the Nandalay. At the place of Shree Vrushbhanji, Nandbaba and other from vrajmndan arrived and shree vrushbhanji celebrated this by offering the bhog to all of them. The shape of Braj is half - blossomed Lotus. The first layer of lotus consists of 8 then 16 then 32 petals. 8+16+32 = 56 THe summation of these figures becomes 56 Therefore it symbolizes the entire BRAJ. 2. Adhidaivik: In Shree Vallabh Sampraday, there are 8 main nidhi swaroops and is being served in 7 pushti-ghars. So the arrangement for "BHOG" done by these 7 ghars for 8 swaroops 7 x 8 = 56 types are there. There lies a misnomer in pushtimarg that since there are 56 types of "VYANJAN" offered, it is called "CHHAPANBHOG", but this is untrue. In fact no of types of bhog in chhanpanbhog is more then 300. 3. Abhyatmik: The main principle of Shree vallabh sampraday is "SAMARPAN". Shastras teaches uus that Jiva, after covering the 84 lakh yonis, he gets the human body. To get rid of karma fal, the one and only one way is samarpan to shree krishna chanarvind. From 84 lakh yonis if you deduct one "human birth" from it then you will get 83,99,999 yonis. The summation of the digits in this figure is also 56.
