Jai Sri Krushna

Dear vaishnavjan Krupasindhum,

Early morning opening up the doors of our Sri Srinathji with pad of Yamunaji and Ganga ji while filling Jariji automatically brings in our thoughts the madhur roop of Mateshwari Bhagwati Ganga.

I had an opportunity to visit Haridwar one of the prominent site of pilgrimage in . I saw a very unusual thing there. I saw that at some places mateshwari’s Jal is blue like Neel Dhara, while at some it is Green like Rishikesh  and at some places its White like Devprayag etc. while at some places it a mix of all these colours. I was surprised and ask it to an old saint who was sitting at a nearby Lord Shiva’s temple. He narrated a very beautiful prasang to answer my query. Today I am sharing the same prasang with all dear vaishnav charan.

Once during Satyug it happened that param vaishnav bibhuti Sri Shiva Shanker prabhu started feeling miserable longing for his Istha dev Sri Krishna Kanhiya. In order to pour his eyes with the nectar of his beloved darshan he went to Sri Gaulok Dhaam. Sri Shiv sanker is mahadev he is devadhidev and param vaishnav he had no boundaries so he reached Sri Gaulokdhaam and was blessed to see Shyam Sunder indulge in Sri Raas with Swaminiji Sri Radhe Rani.

Seeing this Sri Mahadev Ji had a desire to have Raas with Sri Krishna Kanhiya. Mahadevji Changed himself to a Gopi and went into the Raas . Lord Krishna recognizing his most beloved vaishnava started having Raas with him. Swaminiji Sri Radhe rani thought, who is this new Gopi, who has attracted our kanhaiya so much that he has forgotten everyone else.

Radhe Rani went and removed the Gunghat ( Purdha) from Sri Shivaji’s face and was shocked to see a Gopi with mustache and beard on recognizing Mahadevji, Swaminiji bowed with other Gopi’s and asked for a boon of infinite Bhakti towards shri Krishna , Mahadevji blessed saying so will it be.

Now mahadevji also bowed to Sri Swaminiji and asked that he want to see her Raas with Kanahai. In order to please Shivaji a raas took place. It went so beautiful that both Radha and Krishna got immersed in each other and their love reached a height that Shree Swaroops of both changes to liquid form.

Brahma who was seeing all this leela secretly filled this jal in his kamandal and went away. When the raas got over Sri Swarops took back the normal forms.

Swaminiji after Raas realized that there is one more beautiful lady present in this gathering who is attracted towards Shyam Sunder and Shyam sunder is giving her a beautiful smile too. Swaminiji got angry and cursed her to fall on mirtylok as a river since she is looking towards shyamsunder in such a naughty way.

Srinathji sarkar started laughing on listening curse of Shree swaminiji. Radhe Rani asked why is he laughing. He said recognize this lady she is no other than you yourself. When during raas we got dravyibhot (liquid) she got born out of it her name is GANGA and because she has your part she is so attracted to me.

Recognizing her own dravyamay (liquid) roop in ganga swaminiji got very happy and took her in her laps and got seated in shree Shyam Sunders feets. Mahadev ji on seeing this requested that if Shree Krishna pleases may he get the opportunity to adorn the dravyamay roop on his forehead. Srinathji said in Treta yug when one small stream of Ganga will move towards earth from kamandal of shree Brahmaji he will have opportunity to adorn that stream on his head and asked to keep this story secret until then.

Latter during Raja Bali’s yagna Srinathji took Vaman avtaaar and his feet reached brahmalok. Brahmaji recognizing it as feets of SriSrinathji washed it with the same jal and the same Jal got divided into three streams one went to swarg, one to patal and the third same to bless all of us by krupa of bhagirath ji.

The saint who told me this story further added that This is the reason of colours in ganga. The Blue Colour is the beautiful colour of Lord SriSrinathji, White is of swaminiji and green is the colour that arises when this white of swaminiji’s white mixes with Srinathji’s blue.

He than sung a beautiful poem in honour of mother Ganga translation of which I am giving here:-

O Mother O loving Mother Shyama Shyam o my Mother How Compassionate you are,

When I was in my father’s body as semen you surrounded me with jal to protect,

You took me in your Jal to mothers Body to make me a jeev,

When I became jeev you can’t loose your compassion and surrounded me with your jal (amnion fluid) to protect,

O Mother O Loving Mother…………

When I grew you can’t bear separation you came in me to give life (human body is made of 80% water),

Because of you my mother I survived,

When I die Mother who gave me birth will leave my ashes

But you being compassionate will even take me as ashes in your laps,

O Mother O Loving mother……..

He told me when ever a vaishnav should take a bath in gangaji he should always think of this leela and if he/she bathes thinking of the above mentioned leela Mother Compassionate mother ganga will take him to feets of SriSrinathji sarkar. After this The Saint started offering Prasad to Bhagwan Shiva and gave me also some to have.

I don’t know who he was but the prasang is madhur and if thinking this leela you will bath in ganga maiya I promise you will find all your Rom (hairs) raising up in excitement.

If you find prasang interesting bless me for devotion of Shri Shrinathji sarkar

 Regards,

Pandit Amit Pareek
