This is a a silly question on how to live daily with the pushtimarg philosophy.

Most of the pleasures we get from the senses are temporary. I read mahaprabhuji's books where the worldly enjoyments are termed as visayananda essentially a thirst which can never be satisfied.
how do we live every day of our life to be closer and closer in our krishna bhakti.
Should we watch television at all? (considering most of the things shown on tv are counter productive to our devotional life.. right? )
Should we watch movies.. watch  cricket.. essentially anything and everything that we do for our enjoyment?
One thing I am pretty convinced of myself that whenever I watch a movie or goto social events where there are mostly trivial discussions i start losing my focus in krishna bhakti and get entangled in wordly desires.

I do a lot of japa of shree krishna sharanam mamah (maybe like 5-6 times a day on an average)

Essentially this all comes down to the fact whether we enjoy every activity in this world as part of gods lila or shun it as their aim is to please the senses and not further our krishna bhakti ?

i might say  there are 9 different agyas  in navratna granth and  the duties of vaishnav are described in siddhant rashya granth please  read the slokas  their meanings  and try to follow that  dont worry about the rest   as much more depends on the grace that you will receive  from shree maad acharya  charan

jai shri krishna,

according to my limited understanding and from what little i have read elsewhere, if anything you do is samarpit to thakorji then it becomes his divine prasad... so if we keep Him in the centre of our focus when watching cricket or movies, etc then it is bhakti... if we do it just for our sense enjoyment then it is sansar/vishayanand-bhog, etc

.. when attachment for thakorji and his seva becomes stable, we will automatically loose interest in less important things such as watching movies, etc

for example, there is a story of a bhagvadiya vaishnav who used to to to watch theatre plays...  and some of the vaishnavs did not realise that his thakorji was also enjoying the same with him.

we would be grateful for further insights...

Jai Shree Krishna

Thank you so much for the reply

Yes I think its more about the below verse from Navratnam of the Shodash Grantha

Can anyone please help explain more of this .Does it mean that we are pardoned if our mind wavers around away from devotion to god ..

Sarvesham Prabhu Sambandho Na Pratyekmitisthitihi Atonya Viniyogepi Chinta Ka Svasya Sopi Chet (3)

Translation from Pushtikul website

Once initiated with the Supreme Spirit by offering everything to KRUSHNA, All so offered are equally associated with GOD SHREE KRUSHNA. No one has any individual special relationship. That is the basic fact of the path of grace. Hence where is the cause of worry even in the case of any other use or usage. So also if it happens in one's own case, there should be no worry.

Jai Shri Krishna,

The following is per my limited understanding, and again i would be grateful for further clarifications...

Shri Mahaprabhuji says "jeev svabhav to dushta".. so He has already accepted us as we are... this is not really about being pardoned if the mind wavers, but it relates to associating anything we do with God.... as long as everything is related to Him "Sarvesham Prabhu Sambandho..." there is no cause to worry... So in this case of Navaratnam, the "worry" referred is not worldly worry, but worry about His Seva...

example: I can't wake up early in the morning, how will I perform His seva or how will i prepare additional samagri for the upcoming utsavs or how will I please him during certain seasons (e.g., winter when i don't have appropriate clothing, perfume (attar), etc... i am not able to be there with him during all the specific times or i am not able to stick to the given times of seva, etc... (eg., mangla, raj bhog, etc)

-- also chinta (especially worldly) is not encouraged, as it harms the progress of devotion, so Mahaprabhuji also says  "...chinta dhrutam tyajet...." immediately discard any chinta/worries

jay shree krishna vaishnav

as chiragbhai said that is right ki ven we all r went in social life that time forgot the god, forgot the bhaki bhav etc.that is quite simple.but one thing we always remember that we all are vaishnav, a part of shriji.in our heart is a small part of our shriji.

so ven went in social life, that time try to change our inner self by continues mimmering only one line i.e. 'shri krishna sharnam mamh.' ven we are watching movie or tv or talking with someone else try to do this things.at 1st stage u feel it's difficult but after that it's ur routin life part.

ven i was very much disappointed or in tense situation, i started to do this thing.but frankly say, still i got success of only 10%.90% my mind & my heart doesnt ready to concentrate this things.

live this life bcoz this is gift from our shriji.but try to turn ourself to his side only.it takes time.....but try it......try it.......success is yours
