Dear vaishnavs, How much percentage of your earnings do you contribute towards religious activities ? Don't you think spending on religious & social activities is necassary so that our 'Dhan' is utilised for some good work ? Shri Vallabhadhish ki Jai !!

Jai Shri Krishna!!
Yes some fixed part of earning should be spend on religious n social activities coz being a social animal n a part of society it's ur duty, secondly the money u earn may sometimes come from wrong person or directly/indirectly not from proper source so to clear that mistake u should spend part of it in good deeds like help to really in need n for welfare of society.
Now regarding religious activites when u spend part of ur earning for it ofcourse a pleasure of mind that u have done something really worthy.
As I read in one book related to management of earning by B.K Bidla: 40% saving, 30% personal expenses, 10% society, 15% religious activity, 5% real needy.
Jai Shree Krishna!!
Regards,
Monica.

Jai Jai ShriGokulesh,
It is true that each and every individual should share their income for religious purpose. But that to remains personal that how an individual shares. This is a good question, where each individual should find a way of not to say of doing paropkaar, or punya , but it should be necessity for an individual.

JaiSriKrsna,
Please forgive me if I offend anyone.
My personal view on this is that no one should be forced to do anything. It should be 'aatma ischhaa' or ones own wish to how they can contribute towards religion, society or the needy. And I believe that through awareness and 'aatma chetna' a person is drawn towards these activities selflessly without wishing for personal gains or ulterior motives.
I think contributions made with a selfesslessness in any form is free of arrogance and exhibitionism. It is a very personal affair.
But it is worth thinking from time to time. To halt our ever busy lives to reflect on 'what am I doing for my religion/society or the needy?'
