Shree Gokulnathji (Lalji of Shree Gosainji) in the later part of his life visited Kashmir to meet Mugal king shahjahan because he kept ban on MALA AND TILAK so to convince him to allow Hindus for wearing MALA and Tilak.
Therefore Shree Gokulnathji is also known as MALA TILAK NA RAKSHANHAR

Jai Shree Krishna
Yes that is correct.
Shree Gokulanthji, at the age of 70, took the tedious journey to Kashmir in oder to meet The Moghul emperor Jahangir, seeking protection of the Mala and Tilak.
Jahangir in return sought that Shree Gokulnathji leave Gokul, to which Shree Gokulnathji agreed. After this once while travelling along Gokul, The Emporer found the Township of Gokul to be deserted, when asked why gokul was deserted, he was reminded of his understanding with Shree Gokulnathji. The Emperor then felt guilty of his deed and once again invited Gokulnathji to Gokul for resetellement, which was accepted by shree Gokulnathji.

Jai Shree Krishna
After Shree Gopinathji and Shree Gusainji, it is said that Shree Gokulnathji has made utmost contribution to Pushtimarg and in spreading of the siddhants. His atalta in not leaving Gokul, and yet being able to reach his vani far and wide is really praiseworthy and of eternal importance to us jeevs.
