Baiyya chhodi jaat ho Nirbal jaani moii Hrudai chhuda ke ja sako to bal batraon toii

The translation is: You have escaped from my hold, knowing me to be weak If you could escape similary form the capture of my heart, then ill accept you as being very balwaan.

Who said this to whom and what was the prasang ?

Jai Shree Krishna Purohit ji the answer given by you is almost correct or should i say could another version,(For these days in our satsang hall there more people watching our every move, and one wrong word and the reprimands come chasing you) however the essence is in place. Here is the version that i happened to gather from a Gobalaks vachanmrut: Shree Surdasji was once while returning back home, it was late evening. There was a big pit in the path and Shree Surdasjis feet were moving directly towards the pit. Shree Thakorji noticed that Shree Surdasji was only few steps away from his fall, and came as a small balak, held his hand and guided him around the pit. Shree Surdasji asked who he was and teh balak replied his name was Gopal, when asked where he came from, the reply was Gopalpur. Shree Surdasji immediately realised that this was Shree Thakorji in the fomr of a balak, who was holding his hand. Not to let his Prabhu get away, shree Surdasji immidiately got his hand released and in turn tried to catch hold of Shree Thakorjis hand. Though he almost caught it, Shree Thakorji knowing that his identity had been found out by shree Surdasji, he pulled his hand out from the grip of Surdasji and ran away... and Surdasji said... Baiyya chhodi jaat ho, Nirbal jaani moii Hrudai chhuda ke ja sako to, bal batraon toii The translation is: You have escaped from my hold, knowing me to be weak If you could escape similary form the capture of my heart, then ill accept you as being very balwaan. Here the Mahan Surdasji, challenges Shree Thakorji and tells him, you can run away from my grip, but you cannot release yourself from the grips of my heart, which has bound you through its bhakthi, for Shree Thakorji is always bhakthi vash.

Jai Shri Krishna, You are right on this as per your words For these days in our satsang hall there more people watching our every move, and one wrong word and the reprimands come chasing you But remember one thing honesty will always pay.
